Rubrics can be created for assignments in Turnitin or directly in Moodle. The instructions below show how to create them using Turnitin.

Step-by-step guide

To create a rubric in Turnitin:

  1. Turn editing on
  2. Click Add an activity or resource.
  3. Select Turnitin Assignment 2 and click Add.
  4. Create your Turnitin assignment (click for instructions on creating a Turnitin 2 Assignment.)
  5. Click Grademark Optionsto expand this setting.
  6. In the Attach a rubric to this assignment area, click Launch Rubric Manager.

  7. A new window will display. Click the button in the top left corner and select Create new rubric.
  8. Fill out the details of the rubric and click Save in the bottom right corner.
