When you want to create a page that has three columns of cards that will represent the child (sub)pages of section of pages. See below the final product:

Step-by-step guide

  1. Create a page, as if you're going to create a normal page. If your page is already created, please continue down to Step 2!

  2. Title the page and select the template that you want it to look like. One with a sidebar (such as search, navigation, etc) or one without a sidebar.

  1. Once the template is selected, and the page has been titled, click the publish button.

  2. Create a new page (again!), title it appropriately, and then select the parent page (which you previously created).

      1. Select the Basic Page Template with or without Sidebar if no featured image is applied.
      2. This is to create uniformity among all of your Catalog pages.
    2. If you want a featured image on your page (please also apply to parent page if you want a featured image), scroll down to the bottom of the page, and on the right, click on the Set Featured Image link:

    3.  Upload or drag the image into the media library.

    4. Select the image you wish to place as your featured image

    5. Select the button on the bottom right that says: "Set Featured Image".

  3. Before you start filling the content in for this page, please make sure you put the "Continue Reading" button. It is the little hamburger like icon with the ellipses in the middle (see little red square).

    1. Selecting the "Continue Reading" button which will allow your catalog box too look like this on your parent page (original page you created):

    2. If you do not select the continue reading button, your page will look cluttered because all of the content that you have placed on the page will appear like below:

  4. To continue creating cards on your Catalog page, continue following the previous steps to making children pages & applying the parent page.
