NOTE: Even though Zoom will allow you to schedule multiple concurrent meetings, you can only host one meeting at a time. (More Info)
Follow this recommended guide for Zoom meeting set up:
Go to clarkson.zoom.us, click Sign In. Use Clarkson Username and Password to Sign in to your Clarkson Enterprise Level Zoom Account.
- After signing in, select "Meetings" in the left side menu. Click Schedule a New Meeting.
- In "Schedule a Meeting" fill out the information.
Topic: (Fill in)
When: Select Date, Time, Duration, and check if recurring event.
Registration: Only check when you wish to require registration. Not recommended for regular recurring Zoom meetings for class and other academic events.
Meeting ID: select Generate Automatically. AVOID: Personal Meeting ID
Security: Passcode: the default should be checked and populated with auto generated passcode. Waiting Room: Check (if desired).
Video: Host & Participant Off
Audio: Both
Meeting Options:
Enable join before host: No check
Mute Participants upon entry: Check
Only authenticated users can join: Sign in to clarkson.zoom.us: Check (this limits meeting access to Clarkson users only)
Breakout Rooms pre-assign: Check, only if you plan to set up pre-assigned Break Out rooms.
Automatically record meeting in the cloud: No check
Alternative Hosts: add email address if you want to assign others permission to host the meeting in your absence
Save.
After Saving, a link will be available to copy and paste to send to invitees.
