Policy
Professional Assistantship (PAs) (eg Ignite, Shipley, Deans, ISE, STEM Education, etc) provide full or partial financial support to graduate students to pursue graduate studies while supporting designated units or general office functions across the University. Generally, the hiring unit will recruit PAs. PAs do not have teaching responsibilities.
Students under Professional Assistantship receive the following:
- Full or partial tuition and/or
- Full or partial stipend
